The Member of Parliament for the Manhyia North Constituency, Hon Collins Owusu Amankwah has made firm his commitment to helping to unearth more talents in the area of sports in his area.

According to him, the constituency abounds in such raw talents but was left with authorities to identify them and harness the potential that lies within them.

Addressing the media after taking the ceremonial kick off to start a four team gala competition in the Krofrom Division park on Easter Monday, Hon Amankwah stressed his commitment to bringing out more sporting talents.

According to the youthful legislator, it was his wish to add more to four of such budding talents who had found their way to playing professional football in Bulgaria and Turkey after a similar gala exercise.

ADVICE:

He advised players who were participating in the games to adhere to discipline and regular value addition to their talents so as to make them appear better than their peers in the positions they play in their teams.

According to him, those who take time to nurture the natural talents they have stand a great chance of getting support from authorities and professional scouts.

He urged the constituents to take advantage of such periodic competitions he helps to organise at the area to showcase their talents to the world.

According to him, there would be more of such games in the constituency as the fifth one comes to an end.

ECONOMY:

Touching on the economy, the youthful MP urged the constituents to rally behind the NPP as the government rolls out plans to restore confidence in the cedi and reduce inflation for businesses to grow.

According to him, the government was only 100 days in office but had put in place time tested measures to pluck holes that facilitated corruption and looting in public office.

These monies, the MP said that would have been lost to the State would be put in the hands of the youth to enable them get meaningful jobs to do.

Crowning the winners at the end of the competition, Hon Amankwah urged the Krofrom team not to be overcome with emotion after winning but perfect their talents.

He, however, encouraged Buokrom East/ West who placed second as well as the other two teams from Moshie Zongo and Duase Quarry to intensify their efforts next year so as to win the ultimate prize that would be at stake.

Present at the competition were chiefs and elders of Moshie Zongo, Buokrom, Krofrom, Duase, Dote and Yenyawoso communities.
