The Former Minister for Lands and Natural Resources and MP for Tamale Central, Alhaji Inusah Fuseini has appealed to members of the opposition National Democratic Congress not to engage in mudslinging even as they jostle for positions.

According to him, it was not sensible to denigrate those who could become potential party figures in the future.

Speaking on Joy FM flagship political program called Newsfile, the former minister pleaded with members seeking to contest as potential flag-bearers to be careful in their public utterances.

He intimated the people of Ghana will not vote for someone the party has insulted and vilified.

Alhaji Inusah called on members who may be seeking to occupy constituency, regionaland and national positions to bid their time and wait till the official timetable is released.

According to him, the NDC has about a year and half to conduct its internal polls.

This, he said would open up the party for all to fight for positions at stake.

He called for clean campaign ahead and asked for calm ,.as the party  shapes up for congress.

He said the party was poised for victory in 2020.

According to him, the NPP had disappointed Ghanaians and in some cases backtracking on the promises they made.
